To qualify for transition support and skill support, employees must meet the following requirements. Employees must:

  • Have worked an average of at least 16 hours per week for 12 months in the last 24 months 
  • Have worked in an organisation affiliated to an approved transition organisation. 
  • Be a white-collar worker 
  • Be younger than 65 years and 11 months on the last day of employment 

To access financial support, employees must have worked in one or more organisations that have been affiliated to Omstella or another approved transition organisation for 12 out of the last 24 months. Additional conditions apply for each type of financial support. 

For dismissed employees, the following also applies. Employees must: 

  • Be dismissed by at least 20 per cent 
  • Be dismissed due to redundancy or illness, or 
  • Have a fixed-term employment contract that is due to end or has ended
