Organisations with collective agreements through Fremia and thereby affiliated with Omstella may be eligible for government compensation. This compensation covers part of the fee employers pay for transition support and skill support for their employees.
Insurance premium and government compensation
Each month, you as an employer report your organisation's payroll to Folksam. The payroll forms the basis for the insurance premium you pay for transition and skill support. The insurance premium is 0.65% of the payroll and is paid to Omstella via Folksam. The government compensation can never exceed the premium amount paid to Omstella. It also cannot exceed 0.15% of the employer's total paid cash remuneration included in the employer contributions base according to the Social Contributions Act, as reported to the Swedish Tax Agency.
Application and payment
CIKO is Omstella's administrative company for government compensation applications. They will contact you as an employer to collect the information necessary for payment.
CIKO will then submit an application to Kammarkollegiet based on the payroll you reported to Folksam for the financial year 2023. Kammarkollegiet will decide on the compensation, and CIKO will disburse it no later than 31 December 2024.
Omstella was registered as a transition organisation in 2023 and can pay out government compensation starting from 2023-01-01.
CIKO does not charge a fee for managing the application process or making any payments.
